Scholarships Offered to Arts Groups and Artists for Americans for the Arts National Convention
The Wisconsin Arts Board is delighted to offer registration stipends to the 2015 annual convention of Americans for the Arts. This year the convention is just across the border in Chicago. From Wednesday, 6/10/15 through Sunday, 6/14/15 you can participate in one of three different pre-conferences and the main convention itself. Preconference topics are "Arts Leadership," "Cultural Equity," and "Public Art and Place making." Deadline for application: Friday, May 1, 5 pm. Milwaukee High School of the Arts Sweeps Tenth “Poetry Out Loud” State Finals
Once again, two students from Milwaukee High School of the Arts excelled at the State “Poetry Out Loud” Finals – placing as Wisconsin Champion and First Runner Up!

Wisconsin Folks: Masters of Tradition
Five masters of Wisconsin traditions will perform with their apprentices at the beautiful Stoughton Opera House. Enjoy this entertaining and enlightening event by artists in WAB's 2014 class of Apprenticeship Program participants. Saturday, May 30 at 3 pm.



"Creative Communities" and "Folk Arts Apprenticeship" Grant Programs' Peer Review Panels Meet April 15-21, 2015

The Wisconsin Arts Board has empanelled three groups of arts, education, folk, and community development experts from around the state to review applications to the Creative Communities Grant Program and the Folk Arts Apprenticeship Grant Program.  Consult the agency calendar for each panel's review agenda.
