Mentorship Program
The Wisconsin Arts Board is seeking submissions from Wisconsin artists
interested in participating in the Percent for Art Mentorship Program. This
program gives Wisconsin artists, who have not previously received commissions
with the Percent for Art Program, a chance to be trained to compete
successfully in Percent for Art commissions, and other public art commissions
as well. The program commissions site-responsive artwork for architectural and
facilities landscape settings. Artists will be expected to respond to client’s
interests with aesthetic solutions. Wisconsin artists working in 3-D and
relief sculpture, installation, clay, or textiles and who are not currently
involved in a degree granting educational program are invited to participate.

Architecturally
Integrated
When there are Architecturally Integrated Project openings, experienced
Midwest artists will be invited to apply for listing in a pre-screened roster.
Currently, there are no openings.
Direct Purchase
The Wisconsin Arts Board is currently seeking artworks by Wisconsin artists in
a variety of mediums for purchase by state facilities through the Percent for
Art Program’s Direct Purchase Program. Wisconsin artists are invited to submit
five digital images of work currently available for purchase. Images will be
pre-screened by a committee and then presented to state agency representatives
to choose artwork for their facilities. Approximately 24 state facilities will
be participating in this program in 2007.
Interested artists should read the online prospectus thoroughly (available for
download at:
http://www.portalwisconsin.org/percent/prospectus2007.pdf) and
follow all application instructions.
Eligibility: Eligible artists must have been
Wisconsin residents for at least one year and must not be full time
students in a fine arts degree program.
Deadline:
Applications require a two-step process, including an online registration, and
a mailed CD including resume, images, and image list form. Both steps (online
registration and mail postmark) must be completed by 11:59pm on October 1,
2007.
