Mission Statement
Founded in 1972 as an independent affiliate of the National Endowment of the Humanities, the Wisconsin Humanities Council supports projects that deepen public knowledge of and appreciation for the humanities, encourage dialogue between the humanities scholars and members of the public, and build bridges between the diverse groups of Wisconsin citizens.
