Arts and Creativity Strengthen Our Nation

Arts and creativity make us stronger—as individuals, families, communities, states and as a country. They are a backbone of innovation, prosperity, and thriving people and places. How do we talk about this now, especially given the changes that the pandemic has wrought on our individual, family, and community life?

To help make that case, in 2021 the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies published “Arts and Creativity Strengthen Our Nation," a guide with ideas and strategies for those conversations.

In February, 2021, the Wisconsin Arts Board and Arts Wisconsin hosted a webinar entitled “Arts and Creativity Strengthen Our Nation" – a session to introduce the newly published guide.

Along with an overview of the components of this guide, the webinar includes an update on Governor Evers' then-recently announced Biennial Budget, and recommendations on how you can help motivate our leaders to increase our public investment in the many benefits that the arts provide to WI's people.
