The Wisconsin Arts Board and Wisconsin Humanities are both state agencies that support the work that local organizations do everyday to strengthen communities and make cultural opportunities available. This September, WAB and WH are teaming up to host open informal brown-bag lunch meetings in Appleton, Baraboo, Platteville, and Wisconsin Rapids (11:30am-1pm in each location).
We look forward to sharing information about our programs and hearing your perspective about what's happening in your region's arts, humanities, cultural, and creative spaces.
Thank you to our regional hosts!
- Monday, Sept. 23 — Meet up in Appleton at The Building for Kids (100 West College Avenue)
- Tuesday, Sept. 24 — Meet up in Baraboo in the County Board of Supervisors Boardroom of the West Square Building (505 Broadway, Room #326), organized by Sauk County UW Extension Arts & Culture Committee
- Thursday, Sept. 26 — in Platteville at the Rountree Gallery (120 W Main St.)
- Friday, Sept. 27 — in Wisconsin Rapids at the Central WI Cultural Center (2651 8th Street South)
Whether you’re entirely new to our two state level agencies and our work, or you’ve known us for years, we look forward to seeing you!
WAB and WH staff will share:
- a quick retrospective of our work with Wisconsin’s arts and humanities groups, artists, scholars, educators and community leaders in the past;
- an update on our programs and opportunities available these days; and
- ways you can be involved
What we look forward to hearing from you:
- your perspective on what’s happening with the arts, humanities, culture and creativity in your area - including the story of your own work there;
- your knowledge of the regional resources and networks that are available now, or those you want to see in the future to strengthen your own work and that of others in your community;
- your sense of what people in your area are concerned and excited about; and
- your ideas about how our two agencies might be able to support your community.
Please RSVP to the links above if you'd like to join us!
