According to new data released today, April 2nd, 2025, from the Arts and Cultural Production Satellite Account (ACPSA), a product of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) shows the arts and cultural industries grew at twice the rate of the U.S. economy, adding $1.2 trillion.

In 2023, arts and cultural production accounted for:
- $1.2 trillion in value added to the U.S. economy
- 4.2% of U.S. gross domestic product
- 5.4 million jobs
In Wisconsin, in 2023, arts and cultural production accounted for:
- $12.4 billion in value added to the Wisconsin economy
- 2.90% of Wisconsin gross domestic product
- 95,305 jobs
Most of the arts and cultural industries have exceeded their pre-pandemic numbers for value added; however, several are at or below their 2019 levels.
