Every October, we collaboratively celebrate National Arts and Humanities Month (NAHM) with our arts partners across the state, and the Office of the Governor, to recognize the positive impact of arts and culture in Wisconsin. National Arts and Humanities month was established in 1993 by Americans for the Arts to raise awareness for the arts, and emphasize the large and great importance of the arts and humanities in fostering community well being, education, and economic development. Read more about NAHM on Americans for the Arts' website, and check out Governor Evers' proclamation below.
To celebrate National Arts and Humanities Month, join the Americans for the Arts, and share your story and raise your voice for the Arts and Humanities. Our friends at Travel Wisconsin also have a great database covering arts and culture in Wisconsin, from outdoor sculpture gardens, to museums, to everything in between. Supporting your local arts scense makes a greater impact than you may think, so get involved this October!
