Welcome to our series, Spotlighting Wisconsin! This series spotlights arts organizations across the state (including some of our wonderful grantees), and showcases the amazing work they do in their communities, along with sharing the why, or what drives them as an organization to do the work they do.

ArtBeet, Inc.

FY25 Wisconsin Arts Board Grantee

Algoma, Wisconsin

ArtBeet, Inc., is a grassroots arts non-profit organization in Kewaunee County.  We encourage creativity, foster expression and promote the arts within the county. We strive to create an awareness of the county's creative economy and the impact and potential it has.

Celebrating 20 years of service this year, ArtBeet Kewaunee is a volunteer-led nonprofit dedicated to supporting and promoting the arts throughout Kewaunee County. Our work centers on building community through creativity, with a special emphasis on youth engagement, public art, and grassroots collaboration.

One of our cornerstone initiatives is Youth Art Month, which we’ve proudly hosted for the past five years. This countywide celebration includes a juried student art exhibit, hands-on workshops, guest speakers in local classrooms, and scholarships for graduating seniors. In 2026, we’ll expand this celebration with A Day of the Arts, a free, interactive event offering art-making experiences for all ages. This project is generously funded by the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation.

In addition to youth programming, ArtBeet serves as a fiscal sponsor for local public art projects. We’ve supported mural work in Algoma, including the restoration projects and vibrant new murals. These projects, and others like them, are made possible through partnerships with artists, donors, and organizations seeking to bring beauty and meaning into public spaces.

We’re also excited about a creative bike rack initiative in the City of Kewaunee, developed in collaboration with Kewaunee High School’s art and tech ed programs. Supported in part by the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts and local non-profit Hooray for Hollywood, this project merges student design with functional public art. At ArtBeet, we believe in the power of local creativity—and we invite individuals, educators, and community groups to partner with us in making more of it happen.
