Youth Art Month 2026

The Wisconsin Arts Board welcomes Youth Art Month, recognizing that all students in Wisconsin should have opportunities for creative involvement and expression. Along with the proclamations issued by Governor Tony Evers, the State Superintendent, and the Wisconsin Partners for Arts Education, we celebrate and spotlight youth art this March. Please find the aforementioned proclamations below, and keep an eye on our website and socials as we highlight organizations working to provide access to the arts for youths.

The Wisconsin Art Education Association (WAEA) and the East Towne Mall extend an invitation to the 2026 State Youth Art Month Exhibit. From Sunday, March 1st through Friday, March 27, 2026, artworks from schools across the state of Wisconsin are exhibited at the East Towne Mall in Madison, WI. About 600 youth (preK-12th grade) artworks are displayed within one of the stores within the mall, and artwork is on view during mall hours.

The statewide celebration will take place on Friday March 27th, and includes the 600 youth artworks, fan mail to young artists, five different make & takes, and a closing ceremony. Featured speakers will include dignitaries, Katie Crawley, Madison Deputy Mayor, George Tzougros, Executive Director of Wisconsin Arts Board. The featured artist speaker is Ike Wynter, reclaimed wood artist from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. For more information, visit WAEA.
